Palestine is a haven for terrorists, and it’s no wonder considering Palestinians raise their children to glorify and aspire to Jihad.

Terrorist organizations thrive in Palestine- from Hamas to Al-Aqsa Martyr’s Brigade to lesser known groups like Palestinian Islamic Jihad, they all encourage violence, and do whatever they can to foment the seeds of hatred. Their major goal: the annihilation of Israel. This is exactly the reason why there will never be peace in Palestine, because the majority of Palestinians don’t want it.

Although the Palestinian Islamic Jihad is a small group, considered terrorists by the EU, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, Japan and Israel, thousands attended a rally on Friday October 30, commemorating the death of founder Fathi Shiqaqi on the anniversary of his assassination in Malta in 1995. There were the typical chants of “death to Israel” and “Muhammad’s army will be back to wipe off the Hebrew state”, along with the usual charming antics,

Holding plastic models of rockets and wearing masks and mock suicide bomber’s vests.

Then there were the exhortations by one of the leaders, Nafez Azzam,

to reject negotiations with Israel and support violent resistance.

Currently based out of Syria and more than likely funded by Syria and Iran, it was founded by Shiqaqi in the 1970s as a splinter group of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, when members decided the EMB was too moderate for their tastes. Masterminds of many suicide bombings against civilians over the years, they are committed (like Hamas) to the destruction of Israel.

Islamic Jihad is committed to the creation of an Islamic Palestinian state and the destruction of Israel through holy war. It also opposes pro-Western Arab governments.

So rather than trying to reach out and “give peace a chance”, as John Lennon sang, they would rather hold rallies that incite violence and destruction. And given the huge turn out, it’s not just a few random militants who feel that way. It’s thousands. And people blame the U.S. for not being able to broker a peace deal. With groups like Hamas and the PIJ calling for the end of the “Hebrew State”, what do they expect?!
